Greetings. Thank you for such high evaluation of my daubs but I think you simply have not seen too many beautiful artworks from other members of our society. DA has enourmous community... May be next time you will see great pictures without shine of Photoshop. But in that case I'm a cheater.. Because I use that programm too. Anatomy defects.. Unfortunately I grown up seeing Sailor moon and Revolutionary Girl Utena.. I hope you have seen that pretty anime too. Odd waist-lines - it's profile. Thousand of Sonic OC? Geez, it's one of the details that I hate in fun art-work. May be it can sound intolerant but in my opinion artists have to respect efforts of others. They can't add some strange things to harmonic universes of others. Everyone can create own fantasy worlds but please be grateful for hard work of designers. They leaved peace of soul to the every art and picture.)

dont be ashamed of using photoshop , but if you want to colorize with traditional tools , I recommend to leave it without photshop.
Otherwise you could get a used drawing pad (I got mine for roughly 15 euros and a scanner for 20 euros). I usualy make the sketch and the lines (and sometimes cross-hatching) with paper and graphite/ballpoint pen. Then I scan it into the pc and colorise and make the layers with GIMP. But you inspired me to throw out money for colored pencils and try to draw something halfway-decent with it.
and for this i promise not to eat your babies
